In 2006, the World Wide Web became a tool for bringing together the small contributions of millions of people and making them matter.
That's why TIME magazine selected everyone of us as Person of the Year 2006.
This new web, experts call Web 2.0, is allowing ordinary people to make themselves heard on a global scale, thus fostering a new digital democracy.
