I`d select Bill Gates as the person of the year 2006. I`d choose him because he fought against poverty by donating money to the poor countries to help poor children and the sick. It´s not easy to be the richest man in the world and he has done a great job because nowadays many people depend on him. Besides, the title is given to the person who "for better or worse," had a big impact on all of us. In my opinion, bearing in mind the impact that internet users have had on revolutionising the media, we can say that he has what it takes to become the person of the year 2006.

They adopted two poor children, gave them an opportunity to have a better life and so they built a multicultural family. Besides, they contribute to many charity projects in war places.
